I would rather my kids see me die in peace than watch me vomit my fecal matter in agonizing pain. Dogs are treated better than humans... where do you think the term "Inhuman" came from?

Kavorkian was right...

I set this article aside because I feel for Angelique and I am sorry she has gone through such trouble. I am saddened by the loss of such a unique person. BUT, I am not so sure I agree with her approach.

I am not entirely opposed to euthanasia and understand these cases are comprised of individuals in dire straits who don't have any hope for a cure. There is a side of me, however, that feels like it is somewhat of a cop-out and a selfish act because it only considers the immediate patient and not the friends and family around them that are impacted as well. Yes, I understand it may be huge burden to the families and those instances are understood, however there are those cases where the family may disagree with the decision or may not be prepared to "give up" their loved one.

I have a beautiful wife and two wonderful kids and have a hard time thinking I could choose euthanasia when it came down to it.

I don't know, maybe it is just me...

Simply put I am in favor of legalizing euthanasia. Euthanasia goes on all the time all over the world only it's hush hush. A sympathetic doctor gives a shot and it's over. AS people live longer with chronic disease that makes their lives and their families lives torture on earth, I pray that Euthanasia will be accepted by the world as humane and a legal individual decision.
